Start with a defined first step rather than choosing at random from a large library. Follow the guidance, work through the painting project and become familiar with the approach.
Put your learning into practice
Use the monthly video project and four weekly photo/PDF challenges to spend time painting, experiment with what you’re learning and notice the decisions that make a difference.
Build on what came before
Continue through the sequence as each month’s lessons add to your knowledge and skills. Revisit earlier club months while you’re subscribed whenever you’d like to reinforce a lesson or try a project again.
The Moore Method in practice
Follow a practical painting process: start with the big shapes, block in the main areas, then develop the modelling and details. As you work through the projects, you can keep returning to this approach and build your understanding of the decisions involved.
You can follow the main project and use the extra exercises to support your practice. There is no need to do everything at once. Keep returning to the next step in the pathway.

We’ll work through painting projects, explore practical ideas and look more closely at the choices artists make. You’ll have opportunities to put those ideas into practice, then carry what you’ve learned into the next stage.
If you’re beginning, this gives you a place to start. If you’ve been painting for a while and would like more direction, it gives you a path to follow.
